Dear Feminist Friends and Allies,

It has been brought to my attention that this date is Yom Kippur. My apologies to all who celebrate this important holiday! I will try very hard to avoid such conflicts in the future. In the meantime, it is too late to cancel so we will proceed with our meeting for all who are interested in coming and available to join us.

Wednesday September 23rd at 7 PM will be our regular meeting, and will feature the movie “Miss Representation” and popcorn with real butter! This documentary, which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, explores how the media contribute to the under-representation of women in influential positions by depicting women in limited and often disparaging ways. The entrance to the Archives is to the left of the museum’s front door, and will be marked with signage. You may park in the museum lot on the right of the building. There is also overflow parking available across the street at the First Presbyterian Church of Ypsilanti lot, if the museum lot is full.

We hope you can join us!
