Shannon Basalla studied Graphic Design and Fine Art at Eastern Michigan University. After studying artists such as Barbara Kruger, Judy Chicago, and Cindy Sherman, she became inspired to develop a body of feminist art work. She aims to use art as a tool to promote social change and intersectionality.
Upon graduating from college, Shannon became more involved with community organizing with non-profit groups as well as participating in community discussions and marches for social justice.
